Did we learn about this yet? (was out sick)
Not yet .. Abbie... but tomorrow you will learn how to 'manipulate time' in your narrative writing...!!!
it's on the blog..on the lefthand side called 'states and capitals'...isn't it?
Mr. Buxton- It is. I wouldn't use that to remember the states and their capitals because they're in random order. If you forget one word, you won't be able to know the rest.

Does anybody know exactly what we need to know for the SS test?
ya thats it!
~ Maddie
does anyone have the definition for the vocab word barrier island??? if u do could u please post it on the blog? Thanks!
~ Maddie Weber
Maddie,
A barrier island is a low, sandy island along the southeast Atlantic coast
Also, does anyone know what the 3 primary landforms are in the southeast?
ya coastlines, coastal plains, mountains, and the wetlands! thanks 4 the definition!!!
~ Maddie
hiya. Maddie...I have the definition for barrier islands...here it is...a broadened barrier beach, habitable in places, that provides a measure of protection for the mainland, as during hurricanes and tidal waves.Tada. Also...Maddie...a good way to study is have your mom call out the definition and you say the vocab word. your welcome. happy studieing!
Love
MC Beecy
Are you sure because on the study sheet it said 3.
Catie- I'm pretty sure coastlines and coastal plains are the same.
What does our percent have to be to get two +points
Forrester are you talking about the last question on the blog that is +2 points? I don't know if it matters but I printed it out so he could look at it tomorrow.
Abigail
cool...i did the same thing
our ruff draft is due tomarrow right?
I am having sooooo much truble with the worksheet!!!!! CAN ANYONE EXPLANE IT AND GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE!!!!
MC- The bottom half is just like that excersise on the blog. For the top half, figure out which happened first and write that second. Combine the sentences by using after or because.
ex:Bob became sick. A kid who was sick came to school.
Bob became sick because a kid who was sick came to school.
-Forrester
Wait, if you get IOO% you get +2 because I got 75%.
RyAn S.
I got the thing for +2
RyAn S.
are you allowed to try again if you have to get IOO%?
RyAn S.
Forrester.. your example is not correct
remember...you need a had+participle
i don't have the w/sheet here but i think the answer might be..
The child was sick because another sick child had come to school
Mr. Buxton, what are the 3 main landforms of the southeast?
yeah really what are they i am wondering but maybe if i could search it on google
RyAn S.
Mr.Buxton- Sorry, I was trying to make a different example,(It's harder to make a question than to answer it, like it's harder to be a teacher than to be a student.)
-Forrester
mountains, rivers, forests is what i got
RyAn S.
f you get IOO% you get +2 because I got 75%.
RyAn S.
Anyone would this be a correct time shift?
Bob was sick. He ate to much ice cream. Into, Bob was sick beacuse he had eaten to much ice cream.
-Sabrina
sabrina- yes
mr. buxton what are the 4 major landforms
flynn
Ryan S. I don't think that forest would be a landform for the South East because we never talked about it in class. I'm pretty sure they are coastal plains, mountains, and wetlands as said before.
Flynn, are there four major landforms? I thought there only three.
ok thanks but aren't wetlands also called piedmonts?
RyAn S.
flynn- it is 3 not 4
ok ya it is three?
on the personal narative do you have to write a rough draft of the whole thing or just a little bit
flynn
flynn- you dont have to write any but you can!!!!!!!
(at least for my class!!!!!!!!!!!)
relly????? ill ask mr b
who are you?
flynn
mr. buxton? on the personal narative thing do we have to write the whole first draft or just a little-bit
flynn
lynn- you dont have to write any
how do you know?????
really who are you tell me?
flynn
stop i am not kidding who are you???????????????????????
ok thanks. who is tigernation???
Flynn-look around Flynn to find the easy answer(:
look around Flynn
Ryan S. The wetlands and piedmont aren't the same thing. The piedmont and platue are the same.
coastline plain, plateau (Piedmont), and moutain ranges
No you do not have to write the whole narrative. Feel free to begin it if you wish...Begin with plenty of sensory language that sets the scene...
Maybe we were too rushed today...but the creativity and sensory lanhuage in the paired 'show not tell' game was missing on the blue cards :-(
Make sure that your narrative contain he sights, souuds, and emotions of the event you are describing
I think that's right Sabrina.
Flynn, tigernation1 is Hayden
sabrina is tigernation?
flynn
Mr.Buxton, on the test if we put platue instead of piedmont will it be counted wrong?
who is jellsbury?????
flynn
Flynn, no Hayden is tigernation1
probably not.
who is jellsbury?????
Flynn, JELLsbury is Ryan S.
I could be anyone flynn.
Sabrina...proably not... but why not use both to be certain?
Everybody
