Guys, I need advice.
Coming up is a section from my essay:
After that devastating event, Chanel’s father, Albert Chanel, abandoned her family, forcing Coco and her four other siblings to go and live at an orphanage. Chanel left it six years later at the age of eighteen. (But?) From her mother dying, to her father deserting the family, and having to grow up in an orphanage, Chanel definitely had tragic years during her youth.

You see where the (But?) is, do you think I need a 'but' there?

Harrisen(M) said...

did we do book clubs today and is there book clubs tommorow because i wasn't at school for RLA, Harrisen

Maddy Z said...

Please can I have some advice?

Jacqueline said...

Han said...

Maddy, I am not an expert, but to my advice I think you should have the(but?) there because maybe it would'nt make sense if you read the wholt sentence I think there has to be a but

Han said...

Jacaline what are you talking about what prezi????

Han said...

I don't really get what is the difference between the partial algorithm method and the divison friendly number thing method

Maddy Z said...

Thanks, Han! Anyone else have an opinion on what I should do? Thanks.

Harrisen(M) said...

Han said...

This is my writing piece. I just want some advice/comments.

Imagine a peaceful ocean filled with colorful fish swarming the water. Suddenly, a shriek fills the air. A mother runs over to her little girl who had dropped onto the soft, warm sand. Lying beside her is a small jellyfish. This is the cause of the girl’s pain. From the deadly box species to the common Moon Jelly, these creatures are truly fascinating. Even though the body of a Box Jelly is minuscule, they have the power to kill. This silent murderer wasn’t discovered until the 1600’s. Dr. Jack Bonds had had many cases of this, and he wanted to figure out what was happening to them. The Box Jelly has four transparent or light blue sides, and it also can have up to fifteen three meter long tentacles on each corner! Each tentacle can have five thousand nematocysts, stinging cells. The cycle starts with a tiny sting, but the culprit can’t be seen. A while later headaches, muscle cramps, nausea, and excruciating pain kick in. Sadly, these symptoms show that death is on the way because it is nearly impossible to survive the Irukandji syndrome.
The Moon Jelly, Aurelia Aurita, may not have such powerful venom, but these sea creatures live almost everywhere on the globe. This jellyfish is also transparent, and it can have stripes or spots. Since the body is clear, four horse-shoe shaped organs can be seen. These organs are the most distinctive characteristic of this species. The diameter of this jelly ranges from six to twenty inches! Moon Jellies are very tolerant because they can survive in water temperatures of negative six degrees Celsius to 31 degrees Celsius, but they prefer tropical climates. This creature is also very tolerant because it can survive in water with extremely low salinity levels, sometimes as low as 0.6%.
The world holds many different species of jellyfish, but they’re all strange. Jellyfish actually aren’t fish because they do not have brains or gills. Not only do jellies never stop growing, but the biggest one of these creatures was eight feet in diameter with tentacles as long as half a football field! When people see a dead jelly lying on the beach, they will still be wary of it. This is because a lifeless jelly still has the capability to sting. There are over 400 dead zones in the world where only jellyfish live. Even though these creatures have a total of 24 eyes, their vision is still blurry. From venom that can kill over sixty people, to survival in dead zones, and living before the Jurassic Era, jellies are miraculous individuals.
(I have all color coded it and stuff. It doesn't show up on the comment)

Mr. Buxton, I was thinking about my current event day, and I realized that we don't have school that day. Do we get an extra week?
Rohan- For book club you should do setting instead because that is your job for the final assignment. Sorry for the trouble. Are you coming to school tomorrow?

Jacqueline said...

Han, when I asked about the deadline for the prezi, I was talking about current events.

ENIAC was the first ever functional electronic computer; however, many ohter inventors were typing to beat the main creators of ENIAC, John Mauchly and J. Presper Echert, to go down in history, so the "first computer may not have actually been the frist computer.

Here is my writing criticize and compliment.

The Red Wonders of Liverpool F.C.
By Nakul Sharma
Liverpool F.C. may not have the counter-attacking skill of Barcelona, or the skill of Real Madrid, but many reasons combine to make Liverpool a great club, with confidence growing everyday. Imagine the screaming crowds singing along to “You’ll Never Walk Alone” as red flags of King Kenny flutter across the sky. The electric atmosphere bringing confidence to skipper Steven Gerrard and is fellow teammates. Anfield Stadium is an amazing place for fans and players to play or watch at. Anfield Stadium was built in 1884 and was originally the home of Liverpool F.C.’s rivals Everton. Everton left Anfield in 1892 and headed for Goodison Park, which left the newly founded club, Liverpool, with Anfield. The first game played by Liverpool F.C. at Anfield was against Rotherham Town in front of 200 spectators on September 1, 1892. Liverpool won that game 7-1. The first league game for Liverpool at Anfield was against Lincoln City in front of 5,000 spectators. Liverpool won 4-0. In 1895, Liverpool built a new stand at Anfield, holding 3,000 spectators. Anfield had stayed that way until another stand was built. The ground, in 1928, was redesigned, holding 30,000 supporters. A roof was also built then. Floodlights were finally installed in 1957 making Anfield one of the best stadiums back then. After the Hillsborough tragedy, coloured seats and a police room was built in memorial of the death of 96 Liverpool fans. A statue of Bill Shankly, the man who changed the fortunes for Liverpool, was built in 1997. Even though Anfield only has a capacity 45,276 spectators, it is still one of the loudest stadiums in the world. Anfield has had a huge impact on Liverpool’s performances over the years.
Many famous legends from a variety of nationalities have featured in the Liverpool side. Spanish players, like Pepe Reina, British legends, like Steven Gerrard, and South American delight, like Luis Suarez, have all worn Liverpool jersey. Pepe Reina is a talented goalkeeper that is very flexible. Pepe has been criticized a lot by the media, but he is still a fantastic keeper. He is the fastest Liverpool goalie to have 100 clean sheets. A clean sheet is not conceding a goal in a game. He had 100 cleans sheets in 198 games. Steven Gerrard is a midfielder who is a great tackler, passer, and scorer as well. Steven was a Liverpool fan as a child and played his whole career at Liverpool. He is the captain of Liverpool currently. Gerrard has scored 141 goals in his 561 appearances for Liverpool. Luis Suarez, a Uruguayan footballer, is a skilled player who has won hearts of many Liverpool fans. To dribble past defenders in a blink of an eye is one of the many talents Luis Suarez holds. Luis scored his first goal on his debut against Stoke City. In that season he scored 4 goals in his 13 appearances.
Playing in one of the loudest stadiums in the world, Anfield, playing with many of the top players in the world, like Steven Gerrard, combining to make Liverpool F.C. not only a widely respected club, but also the most successful club in the history of English football, winning a total of 63 cups.
