Just to confirm, our SS final projects are due Friday, right?
are we supposed to make a thesis for all of the stories? and the s.s. place project is due on friday right?
YES we present our projects on Friday. No Carter you READ all of them.
is this a precept and if it is is it a good one?
It only hurts when you start pretending it doesn't.
how about this
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me."
mr buxton or classmates- I don't get how to do the thisis thing..
mr b is this a good precept(i made it myself)
It doesn't matter what other people think about you, as longas you're kind you're beautiful, and if you're mean you're ugly.(is it good?)
longas = long as
so do we do he thisis on one of the storys we read?
do we do the thesis on a sticky?
LOVE THE 2ND PRECEPT!
Nick i don't either Mr. Buxton said he'd teach us how to do it tomorrow i wouldn't worry to much about it.
not many people are on the blog tonight
yes M.
change the 'it' to something Camille
too wordy Carter... needs work
yes Nick, Carter
Read the info in the package Nick. It will help you
Wait, this one
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me."
Is the second one good?
Life will knock you down but it's weather you choose to get back up or stay down.
Is this a good precept
or is it even a precept
Can someone give an example for the Thesis Statement. I don't get if its persuasive or what?
what about this:
Being kind makes you beautiful. Being rude makes you ugly.
Is this a good precept? I crafted it but no idea if its good...
When people drag you down, it is your choice whether to bring yourself up and other people up or let them drag you down.
And what about this one? I also crafted this one.
It doesn't matter what you actually do, it matters about the choices you make on them.
Good job, Han. You are really going out of your way to find precepts!
Isn't a precept just like a message?
heres another one:
Just because you think it's right, doesn't make it right.
Is this a good precept?
The closest people to you could actually turn out to be the farthest from you.
Caroline- basically yah
is this a precept?(its not mine)
The world doesn't revolve around you.
For the sticky that we wrote today would that be your whole essay or just a paragraph???
Is this a good precept?
The closest people to you could actually turn out to be the farthest from you.
Harrisen- Just a paragraph
Han- thx
Is this a precept?
If a million people do a stupid thing, it is still a stupid thing.
Yah those are good precepts. I bet a precept is kind of like a riddle but has an important message behind it.
Harrisen- i think that would only be a paragraph.
Han -
Your precept is REALLY good, here is how you COULD make it less wordy:
When people drag you down, it's your choice whether or not to bring yourself back up or let them keep you down.
Harrisen -
The paragraph we wrote today was basically summarizing our thoughts about each of the 4 steps. We will expand on each step later, but that can be you basic idea. Mr. Buxton said that the whole thing should be a page to a page and a half of typed text.
This is what I have of my thesis statement so far:
Beauty and the Beast is capable of making its reader think deeply because the characters have important links, ___________, ____________, and ___________.
Is it good? The ______ will be more examples of my opinion.
Thx, but is this a good thesis statement:
"Snatch for the living not for the dead." Thank you m'am by Langston Hughes clearly shows that the main characters only desire is to be compassionate to poor kids that have NOTHING and rob for money.
Maddy- thanks
What i learned in wonder is to learn to be understanding when it's worth it
can someone please respond to my comment
this is my thesis. i will definetly elaborate on it. but a question: for beauty and the beast i couldn't find the youngest daughter's name. does anyone know it?
(youngest daughter) doesn't deserve to live in poverty with her father. the ones who really deserve it are her greedy brothers and sisters who complain about everything.
ALSO!! is this a good precept?
if you live in fortune during life, you will live at the bottom in death, though those who keep behind in life will rise to the top in living death. it is your call in deciding which is more worthy.
harissen, i don't think your thesis is very arguable. one of the reasons might be that i haven't read the book, but if i had, i wouldn't be able to give an opposite opinion.
Sabine- One part of the story says that everyone called her Beauty, so I called her that in my essay
everyone this is an AMAZING precept by olivia in mrs c's class:
i consider myself a crayon. i might not be your favorite color, but you will need me one day to finish your picture.
on page nine it gives 5-6 instructions
do those all go in one thesis
BELLE!!!!!
