Reminders: Make sure you have completed your research using the sources from yesterday's post.
Parallel Structure Assessment is tomorrow. Make sure you have used this site.
Try this exercise: Parallelism (write Correct or 'Incorrect')
Also on the test:
- Can you name/write the x4 types of subjects and predicates?
- How do you spot opening and delayed adjectives/adverbs in sentences?

Also thank you Mr. Buxton for posting all of the practices for the parallelism test!
+1 jordan!
Now Jackson - can you write examples of each one of them? Or recognize each one of them?
I just did the Parallel structure test and got 81%. Is that good? And what type of grade do we need on the test to bring our over all grade higher? Can any one answer if we have a debate tomorrow
Hey Mr. Buxton, How you said on the blog can you recognised Opening and Delaying adjectives and adverbs, I found a Prezi that will help anyone last minute to help recognise them. Here it is http://prezi.com/r-uqdq-gkp1m/opening-adjectives-and-adverbs-delayed-adjectives-and-adverbs/
It helped me last minute
Thanks for the Prezi Jessie!!!
No problem Jordan
+1 Jessie for helping others
Don't worry about grades...worry about how much you are learning
that was me by the way!
Thanks Jessie that really helped me!!!
Can we use our own sources for the computer argument? Or do we have to use the sources the Mr. Buxton found?
I think I found Parallel Structure in the One to One laptop program is not silver bullet. (An evaluation of Michigan's one-to-one laptop program found similarly mixed results. It examined eight matched pairs of schools and found higher achievement in four laptop schools, lower achievement in three, and no difference in the final pair (Lowther, Strahl, Inan, & Bates, 2007).)
Anya, I think we can as along as it is a credible source. Hope that helped.
You are getting GOOD Jessica...Nicely spotted!
+1
If you did extra effort, then yes - you can use other sources.
Thank you Mr. Buxton
