I really liked the phrase of week, because it tells us that the person who does his own hard work, feels better than having someone do it for him.

Mr.Buxton, for the homework do we have to find an appositive in the text or do we create one using the information

Good question Lilly,

You need to create your own using any information in the text...
clue- proper nouns

Mr.Buxton, for the homework in Social Studies,
can we use Proper Nouns in the Decoding part?

Unknown said...

Not sure that I understand the question Lauren. You are being asked to decode the meaning of the words based on the information you have in he text. For example if I said Jimmy Smith holds 4 Wimbledon titles, I would 'decode' that Jimmy Smith is the name of a famous tennis player. I am giving you some 'proper nouns' to decode... what could they be? I guess you can use proper nouns.. but be careful...make sure you are actually offering a clear explanation of what the words I gave you 'probably' mean or refer to. Hope this helps?

With the appositve part for homework do we recreate a sentence using appositives or should we just make up appositives that kinda relate with the story?

Matigan called and asked if she had the right homework she read it to me. I realized that she was clarifying if she had the right homework.
Bekah, we take sentences in the story and make them into an appositive.
Hope that helps Bekah!!!!!

Mr Buxton, does an appositive necessarily need 3 commas or can it have more?
