  7. I went home on "E" day at lunch time and so i missed the 1 and 2 period of humanities and if some one in the H. Graham's that has good, acurate, and neat notes, if i could copy them tomorrow during class or if you could type them up on the blog that would be helpful to me...

    Thanks,

  11. MG-I made my own up.
Anybody- isn't there supoosed to be one blank section???????????

    ReplyDelete
  12. I don't think there is. There is five rules on the page and there is five diamonds. One diamond is already filled in, so I do not think there should be a blank one.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yes, but compound sentences was the 1 filled in for us and that is 1 of the 5.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I just saw that. I guess there should be an blank diamond then.

    ReplyDelete
  15. BUT, the one he filled in for us was compound AND complex.

  18. Sarah-
here are today's notes and homework

    Character Sketch Planning
Apply your 'Making A Judgement' steps
    1. collect relavent facts
    2. Make a judgement based on facts
    3. support judgement
    4.offer alternatives
    5. Restate facts+ judgements

    Techniques
    1. Power O- using a phrase or quote that is a perfect example of your opinion overall to open your writing. Must be explained in the text.

these bullet points apply to the character sketch where we were supposed to get facts on a non american person who overcomes adversity and shows moral courage.

and for homework we are supposed to get more facts if you don't have enough

we had more homework and we got this worksheet, and it was involving an attachment about the Uses of the Comma and you need 4 rules for homework for example commas used in compound + complex sentences. Then after you get the 4 rules, you need the explanation, for example comma joins independent clauses with FANBOYS comma comes after dependent clause. Then you need an example.

    Hope you feel better!!! :)
