Personal Narratives

Feel free to share some of your best sentence (s) that you create in your narratives on the blog.  State what type of sentence your are sharing e.g. sensory, figurative, action,  emotion, use of proper nouns, quotes etc... Other students are encouraged to give  polite, respectful constructive feedback where possible.

  6. I did that study sheet for the S.S. test on Mon. and it really helped me to prepare for what the questions will be like and the vocab. we need to know. Also, I think the vocab. will be matching because Mr.B said to be able to match the 13 words with their definetions. Did thta study sheet help anybody else?

  14. Woah! I'm confused! If Buxton's have vocab. test tomorrow, how come we haven't checked it yet???????? Also, are the two coasts that border the southeast the Atlantic coast and the Gulf coast??? Wait! One more thing our narrative 1st draft isn't due until Monday, right. RIGHT!!!!! Because someone called me and that's what I told them. ANSWER ME!!!!!! please:)

  15. Juliana-both of our vocab. tests are tomorrow. You're right about the 2 coast. I don't know about the narritive, but i'm just doing the narrative idea thing because of the tests that we have to study for.

  23. Hayden you don't have to do everything in caps! Sabrina, you can do your "rough draft" any way you want to. For instance, you could do a min map, the actual thing, or anything else. Oh yeah, Mr. B is possibly at the Panther's game. F.Y.I.

  31. Sarah- the ruff draft is due Mon. and the final copy is due Tues. U don't have to the min dmap, but it will help. It did for me.

  51. The three mountain ranges are, Appalachian, smokey,and I'm not sure of the last one.(Just guessing) Also the question when it says what is the relationship of the growing season and it's climate do you guys know the answer?

    I got the relationship is that when the climate is warm/hot the growing season last longer and when the climate is cold the growing season is shorter...

  67. Is this a good opening for my narrative. It is about Africa.
    Seeing the dirt airstrip for the 13 sitter plane was a miracle because I had known I had made it this far.

  68. Abbie, no ..you are mixing your tenses (seeing and had known)

    only use the time shift when you want to talk about the action of the story when you are already in the past tense..

    i would just use your sensory and descriptive language to open and set the scene..

    describing the landing is a good scene to start .. but just focus on the dscription not the the action as well
