Oh my god I just read Chapter XXIII in Chains...... I almost cried that is so wrong and so upsetting!!! They basically scared her for life like they would with a cow or horse... That is about the saddest thing I have ever read... I like this author she writes beautifully. I want to read the second book, Forge. It's not out yet.

The first attempt to create a form of government after the Revolutionary War failed, and there were competing alternatives that were presented at the Constitutional Convection in 1787. The delegates eventually reached a compromise to create the form of a government. The first attempt to form a government failed because of these certain reasons. Each individual state produced their own money, yet the money was worth different amounts in different states. Factually, the government only formed one branch, and the branch was called Legislative or to referred to as Congress. Someone could be rich in one state, but be average in wealth in another state. This government was in more trouble than a criminal. Different people had new ideas about how to reform the new government. The Virginia plan said that heavier populated states should have more representation in Congress. The New Jersey plan stated that less populated states would loose their freedom because of few state representatives. Additional to the Legislative Branch, the Virginia Plan suggested that a Judicial and a Executive branch should be added on to Congress. The Judicial Branch and the Executive Branch includes Congress and the presidential agency respectively. Roger Sherman came up with a way to let everyone agree on the type of government. “To make things fair, we should make there two houses in Congress.” Roger Sherman spoke out. The senate and the House of Representatives contained an equal amount of representatives and the number of representatives based on states population respectively. In the Great Compromise, 3/5s of slaves would be counted to the states population for representation and taxation. In conclusion, the first government went poorly, different states shared ideas to help prevent completely failure, and Roger Sherman saved the nation by coming up with a great compromise. The delegates travel back to their home states after Congress had finished the Constitution with a great compromise.

Framing- giving only specific facts that support their product and ignoring ones that don't...(20% lean as opposed to 80% fat)
Faulty Cause and Effect- telling people that they will be happier or better if they use that product
Bandwagon- persuades people to join in and use/do the same thing because "everyone else is"
Overgeneralization- general statements based on few facts
Testimonial- an important person or famous figure who says they like/use the product
Transfer- good feelings, looks, or ideas transferred to teh person for whom the product is intended
