  1. DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER! When I first watched that last year I saw that lady, and just out of natural instinct i predicted she was going to be terrible because of her appearance, but she was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Is that song from Les Mesirables?
    I like it.

I learned don't just jump to a conclusion before getting to know/hearing a person.
    -M.G.

95% of teens would have a breakdown if the Jonas Brothers were standing on the edge of a building ready to jump. I'm that 5% who would get a lawn chair and popcorn to watch

  6. if we wrote the tenses, an example, their usage, and the tense family in possitive and negative form is that considered copying??

    ReplyDelete
  7. Wait... on this website it said:

"In English, present progressive can be used to describe what is happening now, or what will happen in the future.

    I am studying now.
I am studying with María tonight." ~http://www.studyspanish.com/lessons/presprog.htm

is it true it can be used for the future also????

    ReplyDelete
  8. maddie.... were you talking to me or sabrina about that?????????????????

    ReplyDelete
  9. And maddie that is not a past perfect sentence cause remember it needs to have a before or after in it... so it would be I jumped up and down before I had walked one mile for gym class. or whatever it was

  13. M.G.

    Speak

speaks, spoke, will speak, had spoken, has spoken, was speaking, am speaking, will have spoken, going to speak

I am pretty sure that is right

    ReplyDelete
  14. Walk- will walk, will have walked, is going to walk ( future) was walking, walked, had walked ( past) walks, has walked, is walking( present)

Swim-wont have swum, wont swim, is not going to swim( future) wasnt swimming, hadnt swum, didn't swim (past) isn't swimming, hasnt swum, doesn't swim ( present)

if any of those are incorrect please let me know

nobody anything else to add to making judgments discussion?

yes that is true... i just teach the 5th grade level if tenses... there is more to them than what i teach, but I just try to keep it simple

I jumped up and down AFTER I had walked one mile for gym class.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Maddie...

also that sentence that you put up earlier was a present perfect
    (just FYI)

  22. Another example of making judgements is when you try to play basketball with the guys on the playground but they won't let you or when you get picked last for teams because your a girl and you can't play good. Well, today we just started playing with them even though they said we couldn't and Caroline S kept making baskets over and over again and then they were saying, "Wow, the girls actually can play!"

Thanks Caroline S for making them change their minds!!!

    :)

And can someone put the negatives for the verb laugh up??

    ReplyDelete
  23. I learned that if you think someone isn't good they actually could be like when we play a game on the playground sometimes people pick me last because they don't think i am good enough. and DON'T judge a book by its appereance or something.

  24. I learned wait until you hear the full story because if you predict to soon you are most likely to be wrong.

  28. O O
    <
    ______
    U
    is
    ing
    will

would this smiley face above be a visual association for tenses if i drew it (pretend the U is a tongue)?
i used the nose since it is a 'simple nose' (because it is only 1 line) i remember past simple and then that you just add ed to the verb, so it is simple. then, the tongue is making spit blobs as the dots for the i's in is, ing, and will, because those are progressive tenses in which they end in is, ing, and will. Then the smiley face's mom told him no more spitting and that was in the distant past, so i remember past perfect, and that you put had + verb + ed. Is that a good Visual Association Technique????

    ReplyDelete
  29. well that doesn't look like a smiley face but pretend it does
