DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER! When I first watched that last year I saw that lady, and just out of natural instinct i predicted she was going to be terrible because of her appearance, but she was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
I learned don't just jump to a conclusion before getting to know/hearing a person. -M.G.
95% of teens would have a breakdown if the Jonas Brothers were standing on the edge of a building ready to jump. I'm that 5% who would get a lawn chair and popcorn to watch
And maddie that is not a past perfect sentence cause remember it needs to have a before or after in it... so it would be I jumped up and down before I had walked one mile for gym class. or whatever it was
Can someone post a verb family (negative or positive - both would be great!) on the blog please? Any verb is fine.

Another example of making judgements is when you try to play basketball with the guys on the playground but they won't let you or when you get picked last for teams because your a girl and you can't play good. Well, today we just started playing with them even though they said we couldn't and Caroline S kept making baskets over and over again and then they were saying, "Wow, the girls actually can play!"
Thanks Caroline S for making them change their minds!!!
:)
And can someone put the negatives for the verb laugh up??
I learned that if you think someone isn't good they actually could be like when we play a game on the playground sometimes people pick me last because they don't think i am good enough. and DON'T judge a book by its appereance or something. Abigail
Hey guys. can you give me some things to study for the tenses test.... i know about the last page of the tenses package and the piece of paper we got to draw/write for the test. and also do any of you guys know how many pages or questions are going to be on the tenses test???????? 1 more thig... the inference paragraph... the final one.. like the second pic... final draft is due thursday!!!! thanks
would this smiley face above be a visual association for tenses if i drew it (pretend the U is a tongue)? i used the nose since it is a 'simple nose' (because it is only 1 line) i remember past simple and then that you just add ed to the verb, so it is simple. then, the tongue is making spit blobs as the dots for the i's in is, ing, and will, because those are progressive tenses in which they end in is, ing, and will. Then the smiley face's mom told him no more spitting and that was in the distant past, so i remember past perfect, and that you put had + verb + ed. Is that a good Visual Association Technique????
Mr.B, do u think u could post the pic of the spanish looking house and the people infront of it on the blog because then u can see more details with a color copy if u just have a black and white
While writing the essay on inference, could you say as a P3 what something isn't like that the people in front of the spanish building can't be exchange students because many are adults in which would already be out of college???
Also would this be a good hook??? A group of American tourists pause, mouthes open wide to reveal pearly, white teeth in front of an old, Mexican church to snap a picture or two.
the fist inference was easy but on this one i am struggling, A LOT!!! i know it's our first draft but i really didn't do very well. Do you have to type the first draft?
Hook- Engage Reader (basically the same type 4 an essay) Topic- briefly state what happened P2- support P3P3P3- Evidence P2- Further Support P3P3P3- evidence restate- take from P3 Hook- relate 2 opening hook
