  19. Hello people of Mr.Buxton's class! The reason why I wasn't in school today is because I had a really bad headache last night and then... well you can path it out after that (hint: doesn't get pretty)

  20. Thanks Arielle -
Do you know what google docs is?
Well, if you do, go there and the noun collage poem will be there.
If you don't, go to you gmail account and at the top you will see a tab saying 'documents', click that and it will take you there.

  27. The Classroom is a Battlefield

    By Caroline Wilson

    The classroom is a battlefield.
    The teacher is the general.
    The students are the soldiers.
And the pencils are the spears.

    The classroom is a battlefield.
    The protractors are the aim.
The flash drives are the bullets.
    The textbooks are the shields.

    The classroom is a battlefield.
The books will bomb your brain.
    The markers all yell “victory”.
    The chairs are going insane.

  29. Guys - when doing research for the Social Studies thing, this is a GREAT site:
    www.history.com
There are not only reliable writing sources to get data from, but there are also great videos for finding data.
MOST of my information has come from the videos. They are so helpful I almost didn't need to check the text part (I did, though).

  30. Han - you need to write 4 metaphors arouns the same topic - you need to write an extended metaphor. can you see the difference?

  35. Mrbuxton, dit says thZt the commercial s has to be appropriate to the time period, but how and why would we have a radio broadcast in 1776 during a war???????????

    ReplyDelete
  36. Appropriate means no iPads but yes pencils...

Han... After reading your work again you are on the right track

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anisha -
It means things that they have NOW are not allowed, like ipads and phones and ipods and computers. Stuff like that.

    ReplyDelete
  38. But you r don't. A a radio broadcast. Radios didn't exist back then.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Camille and I are going to need a little time to practice our song before we actually sing it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Mr.Buxton I really can't think of anything, but I can see the diffrence between my metaphors at the top and Caroline's

    ReplyDelete
  41. Then should I still change my metaphors?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Mr. Buxton -
I can't seem to get the Revolutionary War Event when I search 'Revolutionary War - The Swamp Fox'. I either get some guy that was nicknamed 'The Swamp Fox' or a Disney Channel program titled the same thing.
    What should I do?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Maddy- search this:

    Swampfox- revolutionary war

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mr.Buxton, when Camille and I perform our song, please do not mind the tune. It is supposed to be out of tune. however, if that is read as poetry, it sounds like real, funny poetry.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Okay, seriously. Who is Cheila? This isn't funny, and I mean it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Partly me I was the 2nd and 3rd Cheila but I dunno who the first one was

    ReplyDelete
  47. REALLY, NAKUL! THIS IS NOT YOUR BUISNESS! how would you like it if i hacked in to your chatzy about schoolwork that you didn't want anyone else other than a specific person to see? And even if you say that I did try, I didn't manage to get because you could set a password, and i couldn't.

    ReplyDelete
