  2. Mr. Buxton -
On the Week at a Glance sheet, instead of writing 'e.g. characters are on a quest', you wrote 'e.g. characteristics are on a quest'...

  10. People in my book club - I think we should read till the end of chapter 24, because otherwise it will be way too much a load for the last book club. chapters 14-17 are really short, not sure about rest. Also, we have less h/w this week.

  15. so, is is it settled that we read up to chapter 24?

    ReplyDelete
  16. NO!!!
I agree reading until chapter 17 isn't enough, but if we read 10 (!) chapters, our conversation won't be as strong because there will be SO much to cover!
    What about just until 20?

  17. Han- We don't have to do a presentation for these book club groups. Good to hear you're feeing better! Also, as practice for Student Led Conference, we are practicing a game called Fly Swatter. In the game, there are two opponents who try to slap the word on the board. The player are trying to guess what vocabulary word Mr.Buxton is the answer to the sentence. The opponents will be 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, and so on.
    Anisha- Yeah

  19. you see Maddy - that's why there will be a challenge. We will have to cover just the important facts. I mean, If we only till the end of 20, then we will have to read 13 chapters for the time after. Wouldn't you like to not have to do that. It will make that book club horrendous!

BTW,I am wondering why this hasn't gone as planned. We said four chapters per meeting, but we are only on chapter 17?

  23. What does h/o mean? Sorry if there are typos, this is my phone I am typing on.

It always scares me whenever there is less h/w. I feel as though I am missing something.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Anisha- I know! I keep thinking that we'll have extra h/w tomorrow or in the future.

Mr. Buxton- On the "Week at a Glance" sheet, you said we ad to write our quest with our partner tonight. Are we still doing that?
