The Marshmellow Challenge

Watch below a recap of today's video on our Team Building exercise. When you receive your first team assignment, will you be able to apply the strategies we discussed on collaboartion today to produce an effective end product?





Reading
Make sure you are reading between 20-30 minutes each evening. A least 1 sticky per 15 minutes of reading. Keep your reading log up to date.

Writing
Final draft of poem (Due: Thur)

W.I.L.F.
In addition to  the guidelines that are on your sheet, think about:
  • Does your poem have effective format and structure?
  • Does your peom contain at least 10-15 proper nouns or adjectives?
  • Are any lines of your poem so 'sticky' they  literally jump off the page?
  • If you read your poem out loud, would people know almost instantly who it was about?

By Friday - Copy between 10-20 book covers that  are special for you in some way. It can be from

  7. it basically means that the words stick to you, "like a squashed marshmallow" - they bring so many vivid descriptive ideas that you can hear, see, feel the place you are writing about.

    How are those books going?

  11. Um, for the final draft, when I wrote wrinkles in time, and spirits giving dreams, it's not the actual title of the book,but should that still be considered to be a proper noun?

  16. Hope you guys all liked the marshmallow challenge! Last year, the team who won just stuck their marshmallow on top of a couple of pasta noodles. The won because everyone else's fell over, except on group's, which started bending, and then became shorter.

    Wait I forgot Elephant Caves
    My land stretches from cold mountain peaksS

    I come from Wane Rooney, a bicycle kick
    From Andre Santos a perfect tackle
    And Fabienski, another ball saved
    Barcelona a win every day
