Change to H/W Routine Tue&Wed

Do not do the essay tonight on the H/W sheet. Work on choosing effective categories for the topics on the RC RaCS Evaluating sheet. You only need to write 3 categories per topic. Make sure you prioritize the categories. The essay is postponed until Wednesday night. It will need to be finished for this Friday.

e.g. Evaluting the Dining Room
Categories - 1) Choice of Food 2) Service 3) Facilities

Social Studies Test is postponed until next Tue. You still need to make sure you can answer the questions on the back of the H/W sheet by Thursday.

  3. Why did you move it? I also don't get what we are supposed to do for the evaluating sheet. I'll try my best, but you can you explain it to me again tomorrow?

  6. Caroline. first look at the example on the blog; then, think about how you would give your opinion of say... a party...
you could say... it was good OR you could evaluate it based on a certain criteria...e.g. types of games played, music played, friends that came...Evaluating is just trying to decide 'how' to give an effective opinion of a topic instead of saying it was 'good'
    hope this helps!

Abbie, I need to teach how to write an essay before i ask you to do one...For a plus point... what do you think the most important thing to do is when writing an essay?

students who share names with other people in class... could ou write an initial also e.g. Caroline S or Ryan E so i know who it is .. thanks guys...Don't work too hard.
