nothing against poetry and stuff like tall tales, but i've never been able to grasp the consept of something that is fiction. I don't get why we learn it if it won't help us later in life. hopefully, I'll learn why soon.
take out of your life every book you've read, evey book that was read to you, every movie, every t.v. program that you have ever watched or that you will ever watch... what's left...? Life would be pretty dull don't you think...
Creativity that is needed in every profession needs to be nurtured and practiced... Do you think the advances in scienc, technology, medicine came from people reading textbooks? These people needed to think 'out of the box' and be imaginative... how do you think they first learned how to creat things that don't exist?... answer your question?
