  16. Mr. Buxton, I'm having trouble telling the difference between a personal persuasive essay topic and one that isn't personal. Would any of these be personal.
    Things that annoy me:
    obesity,
    littering,
    cheating,
    bullying,
    prejudice people,
and people who assume nothing about what you want.

  17. Rachel, You can use one of the tools we used today or you could put in the numerator and press the n/ button the the denominator and press the /d button the enter then the f arrow d. I don't have a calculator so I can't do it. I am going to do it tommorrow morning and NOT cheat.

  18. Mr. Buxton, how did you attach that link to the picture of When my Name was Keoko?

  20. It is a personal essay if you can relate well to the topic, George.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Do we have to type up our p1 and p2`s??

    ReplyDelete
  23. Caroline, and Rachel- If you have a Mac computer, you can click the scroller thing on the mouse and then,if you don`t have a calculator there, go to the add button, and get the calculator.

    ReplyDelete
  24. but you see rohan, you weren't in our math class so you don't know. Also the calculator has to have buttons that looks like this: F > D n ( n is underlined) and d (line on top of d)

  25. Rachel & Caroline- Here are some links I found for a fraction calculator

  26. Wrte then type, Rohan.
Maya, just put the cover of the book.
George, I think none of them are personal, but look at it with your own perspectives. We all have different character. Think, does this happen a lot around the world?
For the character video, I think that you cannot change your character by looks, you can only build, on the insides. No one has the same character.

  32. I liked the other picture too, Anisha! It was always easy to recognize when you wrote the comment when there was a picture with the neon yellow background!
Alex, the topic is personal if you can relate to it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Mr.Buxton, if we know what our topic is, does it still help to do the topic sentence before we do ethe power twos?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Maddy- if you eventually have to, post the thing on your blog. It would be easier than google docs. well, really they would be the same. Your choice!

  38. All eyes are on me, and every pair of eyes burn a hole through my head. What if the answer I give is wrong? What if people laugh? What if I stall and the surrounding peers think I can't what they ask me to?

    What does this show?

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm guessing your story is about how annoying it is to be called up an answer a question? Was that right?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Maybe that is about how annoying it is when people stare at you?

    ReplyDelete
  41. When you answer something and you might get embarrassed if something goes wrong?

    ReplyDelete
  42. what kind of stuff, Maya? Tell you what I know tomorrow. i am sure you will win it!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wasn't asking you to guess the topic. It was supposed to show pressure. My essay is about people going on to ask me really hard questions when I don't know the answer, just because I go to a different math class.
