Study link 8.11
Finish your description of your  character (make sure you include character traits - see the website link above for ideas) and indirect reference to fantasy elements.

Book Clubs - We made a start on these today. Going forward your conversations will be recorded for assessment and some placed on the blog for others. You will be assessed as a group and also individually. What will your group sound like?

Other groups did not finish in time. What will you do to ensure this doesn't happen in the future?

Nuanced Characters

H/W

Study link 8.10

First draft of your character description must be written tonight. Make sure that you are not just stating opinions;  make sure you are using evidence to support those opinions. Think about symbolic objects, unique settings, conflicts (both external and internal) to include indirectly in your description. Draft is due for Friday. You may type it on google docs, but I will need to see a hard copy version as well!

Elevator Pitch

Study link 8.8

Record your elevator pitch for your fantasy story. Keep it simple and basic and make sure some fantasy elements are included in your story. Make sure your protagonist and antagonist are named. Be sure that your first idea clearly explains the purpose for your story e.g. the princess had to rescue the prince.

Somebody had to ...
Because...
But...
So...
However...
Eventually...
