Next Week

  • If you missed your subjects and predicates test on Friday, you will do it on Wednesday.
  • If you did not turn in your suspense writing (many people from C/D class) make sure it is copied on the 'Suspense summative' doc in your drive. I will just enter this grade as zero after Wednesday if I do not receive this work!
  • There are still a few people who are missing grades for identity project. I will not continue to chase you! Get this work to this resubmitted work file as soon as possible.

All classes: Your 'quote sandwich' from Friday's class should be turned into this link. Students to copy and paste that writing in this document here.  You will be given 15 minutes in class on Wednesday to do any finishing touches. My expectation is that you work just as hard with a substitute as you do when I am in class. This  work will be graded!

How does your piece compare with this one?

Next Week
  • Book Club Conversation Assessment
  • Summative Reading Response
  • Interpretive Association:  This is difficult! Are you ready to think abstractly? What do you notice about the difference between the way this text is being interpreted?

Root of the Week: terr - earth/land

H/W - All classes
Read to your agreed upon bookclub page.  Come to class tomorrow with an opinion about your book club book (a claim/discussion point) - based on the pages that you read.  e.g. The book is 'probably' teaching readers that the most important things in life are worth fighting for

Fri - Subjects and Predicates Test. (optional - but highly encouraged)
Spend 5 minutes peach evening practicing these activities between now and Friday, so that you have studied for the test.
