Mr. Buxton- It is. I wouldn't use that to remember the states and their capitals because they're in random order. If you forget one word, you won't be able to know the rest.

Maddie,
A barrier island is a low, sandy island along the southeast Atlantic coast

Catie said...

Also, does anyone know what the 3 primary landforms are in the southeast?

Maddie Weber said...

ya coastlines, coastal plains, mountains, and the wetlands! thanks 4 the definition!!!

hiya. Maddie...I have the definition for barrier islands...here it is...a broadened barrier beach, habitable in places, that provides a measure of protection for the mainland, as during hurricanes and tidal waves.Tada. Also...Maddie...a good way to study is have your mom call out the definition and you say the vocab word. your welcome. happy studieing!

MC Beecy

Catie said...

Are you sure because on the study sheet it said 3.

Forrester said...

Catie- I'm pretty sure coastlines and coastal plains are the same.

What does our percent have to be to get two +points

Anonymous said...

Forrester are you talking about the last question on the blog that is +2 points? I don't know if it matters but I printed it out so he could look at it tomorrow.

Unknown said...

I am having sooooo much truble with the worksheet!!!!! CAN ANYONE EXPLANE IT AND GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE!!!!

Forrester said...

MC- The bottom half is just like that excersise on the blog. For the top half, figure out which happened first and write that second. Combine the sentences by using after or because.

ex:Bob became sick. A kid who was sick came to school.
Bob became sick because a kid who was sick came to school.

Forrester said...

Mr.Buxton- Sorry, I was trying to make a different example,(It's harder to make a question than to answer it, like it's harder to be a teacher than to be a student.)

flynn

Unknown said...

Ryan S. I don't think that forest would be a landform for the South East because we never talked about it in class. I'm pretty sure they are coastal plains, mountains, and wetlands as said before.

Unknown said...

Flynn, are there four major landforms? I thought there only three.

®¥@₦ $. said...

RyAn S.

Unknown said...

Ryan S. The wetlands and piedmont aren't the same thing. The piedmont and platue are the same.

Unknown said...

coastline plain, plateau (Piedmont), and moutain ranges

No you do not have to write the whole narrative. Feel free to begin it if you wish...Begin with plenty of sensory language that sets the scene...

Maybe we were too rushed today...but the creativity and sensory lanhuage in the paired 'show not tell' game was missing on the blue cards :-(
Make sure that your narrative contain he sights, souuds, and emotions of the event you are describing

Hayden said...

I think that's right Sabrina.
