End of Unit - Techniques for Interpretation

Keep your claims SPECIFIC
  • Strong cause/effect relationship
  • Figurative language if possible
  • Avoid pronouns and 'empty words' (things, we, it etc)
  • Keep 'warrants' short and simple

Next Monday you will have an assessment on the different types of opening and delayed sentence constructions. The test will be VERY similar to the practice test below.  It will be multiple choice and require you to only identify the different types of opening and delayed techniques.
