What if you don't have any money?
I learned how to find out who's point of view it is, and certain ways to categorize them.
I learned many new techniques in nonfiction writing like "call to action" "dominant specific language"
Today in class, i learned about prognosticating. At the beginning of class, I had absolutly no idea what a prognostic was. Coming out of class I could say "It tells of a future that could happen if you do a certain act. Something like, 'if you work out every day for thirty minutes you can become much more fit.' or something like that" or something like that. Now that I know what it means, I can use it in any nonfiction writing that I may write for... well, the rest of my life.
Today, in class, I learned how to find a POV and learn if the POV is reputable.
Great lesson today!

In class I learned many new words such as prognosticating, Call to action, etc. I also learned new techniques for POV's and how to summarize such as you can find the main idea by reading the first/last sentence of each paragraph and also trying to reword the title.
I learned new types of craft techniques to use in my writing such as prognosticating, as well as learned the proper terms for craft moves such as emotive language and domain-specific language!
In class I learned many new terms that are essential to our unit. In other words, I learnt the "Domain Specific Language". Some other terms that I learnt were :
"Prognosticating"
"Call to action"
"Bandwagon"
Today's class was very informative!
I learned lot's of different NF craft moves, for example, I learned what a principle of authority was, a credible source. I also learned what prognosticating is which is imaging the future. An example of this would be, the after school activities committee would be better if they had more clubs.
I learned a variety of new craft moves in writing non-fiction, such as Bandwagon, Ethos (principal of authority), and also finding the point of view heard in a text, by identifying that person's religion, age, gender, social status, etc.
Really great lesson today!
I learned various craft moves that can be used in non-fiction writing. Some I would like to improve on are 'Call to Action' , 'Prognostics' and 'Bandwagon'. We also learned how to find the point of view in the text. For example, we can look at the perspective's wealth etc.
Today I learned about how the background of the person speaking is a big influence on a NF piece. I also learned about the different craft moves in a piece such as emotive language, principal of authority, bandwagon, and call to action.
Today I learned different craft moves, some that I would like to use is, the bandwagon, and the domain specific language.
Today I learnt about various types of persuasive craft moves for example:
Prognostication, bandwagon, ethos, and many more.
I would like to use ethos much more because then it brings credibility and facts that you know what you're talking about.
