Spelling Test will be next Tuesday
Inside/Ouside poem about yourself. (Due: Fri) - further advice below
Don't make your poem more complicated than it needs to be...Think about the assignment for a second... all i'm asking you to do is write a poem about yourself. Now...going a bit further...i'm suggesting ways you can go about doing this by using categories...for example.. write about your personality, your dreams, your fears, your weaknesses etc etc... by thinking about categories gives you a way to organize your thoughts... so the next step is ... how do you do that...???
well why not begin by just writing about yourself in a literal way...
What do other think of you?
They think... all i enjoy writng and i a super students...

A test taking machine some may suggest
Fear of failure is why I strive my best
inside
I think... ..i like doing art....
how can i do that in a poetic and/or figurative way..?
Drawing and mixing paints brightens my days
Being artistic and creative in countless ways
You need to do just 12 lines like this... and maybe find a special way to end...
no...the title doesn't count....(but give a realistic title)
Also..VERY IMPORTANT...there is a rhyming dictionary on the left side of the blog...use it to find words and phrases that rhyme if you want...

It can be about anything you want. Read the other comments under the essay. Those will tell you some ideas

Remember... after we finished the inside/outside of the fruit today... you were given an opportunity to play with your lines to create the final version... as long as try to show yourself both on the inside and outside...you can interpret the guidelines that best meets what you want to say...rhyme..some if you can... but not necessary if you can't...NIKE

A Taste of the Real Me

Like a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day
A buffalo racing to kill
The crowds roar filling my ears as the dream passes by
Outside my window loud barking fills the sky
Like a skyscraper trying to move the sun to the clouds
Bringing images to life while pondering aloud
Up and down, up and down holding tightly to my mom’s hand as we swish by
Pencil shaking writing sloppier and sloppier trembling more and more
Pacing around the room waiting for something to happen through the door
The smashing of the ball hits a stringy web then lightly hits the floor
Couch Potato in the room but wishing there was something more to do
The chocolate baking fills nostrils with joy
The taste will make you see the real me

hey me agian. i remember doing this and i u r having trouble with thinking about things to write about yourself, then ask yourself this. what do you think about when your mind wanders, what matters to you in your life(hobbies, sports, writing)? ryming isnt alway the best way to go too repetitive words help and similes and metiphores. enjoy your time in fifth grade sixth and seventh are not as fun and have much more work, pluss a math exam in seventh. which is on thursday. anyway i have a brother in 5th grade and some of you might no me just dont think im wierd think im bored if u must

Woah! today there are a lot of old comments on the blog! Usually there are only 2 or 3 old comments, but today there are like 30! I'll say it again, WOAH! Anyway, Beck, all the other comments are from 2009(look at the date), and NIKE is what mr.buxton always says to us during working times(like study hall). He means Just DO IT! NIKE's motto... yeah, ring a bell? but yeah, that's that
