Stepping into the 'Learning' Zone

H/W
You should have all your main body paragraphs written. Conclusion we will do in tomorrow's class. We will spend 15 minutes discussing conclusions. You will have 40mins of writing time and 20minutes of grammar (that we will spend editing your writing)

CHANGE for G/H Class - you do NOT need a printed copy of your piece for tomorrow for the grammar class. I will do this next week with you.

Want to present to a large group on Monday? Sign up below. It does not matter that you are not finished. You can add your media/writing later. (Purely optional - but great for people ready to push themselves further!) C/D- Block E/F Block G/H Block

Mr. Buxton, my RLA class is the last block of the day and unfortunately I have a Peer Counsel meeting on that day. Is there any way I can catch up on my work since the Peer Counsel meeting is from 1: 30 to 3:00? I know that we will be looking at conclusions and grammar that day. The reason I was replying rather late was due to the fact that most Peer Counsel meetings are held during homebase or after school.
Should I come to your classroom after break or lunch.

The content for the lesson is in the slideshow from Wednesday post titled 'leads'

If you need more time, I can give it - I can also be available outside of class time to help.

Mr. Buxton, there is no presentation on the Wednesday post besides the Portfolio: Final Draft documents. Sorry if I sound a bit rude!

Hi Mr. Buxton! It's Jackson from last year, I'm in Texas now, but I just wanted to say that I might be checking up on the blog every so often, because what you taught us is SO much more advanced than what we are doing here in Houston!

Thanks for last year!

Mr. Buxton, if my piece final project is just a piece of writing, I was wondering how will I be presenting it to the large group of four classes if I choose to do so. Will I have to read it out loud, or will it simply be displayed?

How do we sign up for the large presentation?

Great to hear from you Jackson!

Glad you still remember what you learned. SAS is a more advanced school than many U.S. equivalents.
Don't lower your standards!

Sajid - you can just have an image to show that goes with the writing - or you can post the writing in paragraphs on a couple of slides (like I do in class) and read it out loud live - or you can make a video of you reading the piece and just upload the video.
Whatever you do - make sure you practice! Expression - intonation - emotion etc!
