Today, I showed gratitude to my mom, because I felt like she doesn't know, that I believe she has done so much for me. I feel like she deserved to know how much I appreciate her. after telling her how I felt, not only did I feel so much happier, but she too felt much happier, and seeing her happy just made my day.
The memory moment I found in my book was when Emila from Salt in the Sea kept on flashbacking to her time where her dad sent her away to a place where she will be safer, and over there she met her true love. This flashback just kept coming back and back, revealing a little more each time. This happened with all the characters, making readers want to read more, so they can find out what happens. This memory moment was very important, because this whole idea of her being accepted into this new place kept on coming back, and this memory tugged on her throughout her whole voyage in World War II, because this is very important to her, a family is very important to her, that is the new memory moment I found in my book.

In my book she had a memory moment when she remembered the first time she met her second best friend, I think she remembered this because it was a big deal in her life and it will probably change her life later on.

In my book, "The Running Dream", the memory moment Jessica had was when she remembered her leg and how it felt to have one. This flashback is very important to the book as it can help you step into the character's shoes and understand what they are going through, maybe, you could even connect it to a past experience you had.

Today I showed gratitude to my cello teacher. He has been a very important part of my life, even though I'm nothing related to him. I thought he deserved this because he's helped me for a little while know, and he's pushed me to allow me to be where I am today, even though I'm not the greatest at the cello...
A memory moment in my book The Interview with the Vampire, was when the vampire had a (very long) flashback to when he first learned about what it was like to be a vampire. This is significant to him because it was a flashback that was to a life-changing time. I think that the author brought this flashback up because she wanted us to understand the backstory of the vampire and what it's like to transform into one, rather than just using general knowledge to try and figure out, "Now, how did this person become a vampire?" This memory has been continously brought up from time to time throughout the book, and I personally think that it's the most crucial part of the story because without it, we would be wandering blindly and not knowing what's going on. It explains a lot more than just how he became a vampire, it also explains why he became a vampire and a lot of other deeper meaning into that.

Tanisha - +1 for Gratitude. You will find that the flashbacks in your story are more profound then you first realized (+1 for spotting it)

Siri - What does that flashback teach us about the character - Explain the 'big deal in more depth +1
Ella - STATE specifically what the character is going through and how that motivates or handicaps her. +1
Micheal N - So how does it feel to turn into a vampire? - Use WORDS and PHRASES to express the characters feelings and emotions (+2)

You all did a nice job of identifying memory moments, BUT... you still need to think deeper about what this moment is teaching about the character's motivation or the character's internal or external conflict.

Today, I have just finished reading my book called, "Confessions of a Murder Suspect", the antagonist's name is Tandy, and her parents have been killed and they [police] are trying to find out who killed her parents and suspect that Tandy was the one who murdered her parents and so forth.

I feel very lucky that I have both my parents and that they can support and love me everyday, so I thanked both for being there for me every step of the way.

Today I showed Gratitude towards my Chinese tutor at home because she has been teaching me Chinese for around 7 years now, ever since I was in Kindergarten. She has been very important to me in learning this amazing language because she is the one who has worked EXTRA hard with me to give lots of external tests, improving different aspects of Mandarin that I am not strong in, and so on.

I am in the middle of reading this book called One for the Murphies. The book is about a girl who has to go to someone else's house as a foster girl because her mother is in the hospital and there is no one to take care of her. The book shares the ups and downs that this girl Carley had living in a different house from her own. She has a conflict within herself because she doesn't seem to know where she belongs.

Memory moments of herself with her mom make her feel more sad and make her have more of a complex within herself of whether she belongs to Mrs Murphy, her mother, or no one at all!
